The Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) celebrated its 20th anniversary with a grand opening ceremony at the Bangladesh National Museum. This year's edition features films from over 60 countries, making it one of the largest film festivals in South Asia.
A special retrospective section dedicated to Bangladeshi cinema will showcase landmark films spanning six decades of the country's film history. Renowned filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki will deliver the opening keynote address.
The festival runs for ten days and includes competitive sections for feature films, short films, and documentaries, with a total prize pool of BDT 5 million.
